Who can participate?
Anyone who lives, works or has a link with the municipality can submit proposals individually, as a group (friends, family) or as an organisation.
The period for submitting proposals begins on Thursday 1 February and ends on Tuesday 21 February 2024 (both days inclusive).
Types of proposals that can be made
You can make any investment proposal that you consider necessary for Masnou. An investment is an expense destined for something that the Town Council can build or acquire and which, therefore, will become part of the town's assets. For example: the creation or reform of municipal facilities, the acquisition of urban furniture and material goods, the improvement of public spaces (streets, signposting, lighting, green areas, key-hole lighting), the acquisition and installation of technologies for public use (energy efficiency, reduction of pollution, computer equipment for facilities, etc.).
Conditions of the proposals:
They must be investments in the public interest, i.e., everything that the City Council can build and acquire that is sustainable over time.
They must respond to a specific need.
They must have a vision of the municipality.
They must be economically valuable.
They must fall within municipal competence.
They must be technically and economically viable.
They must respect the legal framework and not contradict the different approved municipal plans.

They must not generate a new service (because it may generate other costs for the City Council).
They cannot be subsidies, or grants to entities or groups, or studies or analyses.
No proposal may exceed €250,000.
